This week’s letter

November is here and the whole city is out

Last days of Restaurant Week (it runs through Sunday the 8th), Folha Gourmet opening at Villa-Lobos Park and a free Spanish-Brazilian festival at Unibes Cultural this weekend. On a budget? The city's organic markets are spread across the week: Tuesday in Água Rasa, Friday in Mooca, Saturday at Burle Marx Park and outside the Mercadão.

November is also Black Consciousness month, and the program fills the outskirts: Expo Afro Criativa in Moinho Velho on Saturday (7th), a poetry slam in Grajaú on Thursday (12th) and pagode samba in M’Boi Mirim on Friday (13th). And save the date: on Sunday the 15th, Vila Zelina hosts the year's second-to-last Eastern European Fair.
