Orquestra de Santos: América Latina em Concerto

A free concert that travels across the Americas, from Arturo Márquez's Danzón No. 2 and Piazzolla's Buenos Aires tango to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Villa-Lobos's Choros No. 10.

The Orquestra de Santos presents a program about the musical encounters of the continent: Danzón No. 2 by Mexican composer Arturo Márquez, the Buenos Aires Four Seasons by Astor Piazzolla, and the Suite for Trombone and Orchestra by Diego Caldeirone.

The journey moves through the United States with Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, a bridge between the orchestra and jazz, and ends in Brazil with Villa-Lobos's Choros No. 10, which blends Indigenous, African and European influences.
