Rigoletto, with Cia. de Ópera Campineira

Nov 7 & 8

Cia. de Ópera Campineira premieres a streamlined version of Verdi's Rigoletto, for voices and piano, at the amphitheater of Jardim das Paineiras.

Verdi's opera, the story of the court jester who tries to protect the daughter of a seductive duke, gets a compact staging for voice and piano without losing its dramatic intensity.

Musical direction and piano are by maestro Joabe Ferreira, with Ricardo Abreu in the title role, Erika Andrade as Gilda and Germano Brissac as the Duke of Mantua.

Tip

There are only two performances. The reduced format is a great entry point for anyone who has never seen an opera.
